Wikis

Although I think that things have moved on a bit I do think that Wikis have their place. I think we could use them as a means of allowing people access to information and links from a type of web page as changing the current website is a long process. Worth a more in depth look at I think.

journal TOCs

Yippee another thing I understand I am on a roll here.

Definitely see the benefits for work more so than personally. I have even been able to explain TOCs to other people so feeling very proud on myself.

RSS and Twitter

At last some tasks I am able to get to grips with. I managed to complete all of the RSS things without any hitches. At the  moment I think that RSS will be more relevant in my personal life as opposed to work but I'm sure that as time goes on it will become more useful at work.

With Twitter once I had taken that first leap and sent my first tweet things got easier. I can see the benefits of Twitter with work and I think once you have determined your style to tweet in it comes more naturally. I thing that unless you develop a style that you are comfortable with it you may struggle. Once I worked how to search for things the benefits became clear.

I have not been able to get to grips with this blogging task at all. I have managed to create my blog, change the template and with alittle help from IT post photos. However I have been unable to comment on others blogs and I'm not sure if this is due to a work IT issue or a glitch on the system. The trouble is if you have never blogged before you don't know what you should be looking and if its not right how would you know!!!!!

Anyway onto the next Task hopefully this will be easier.

Yippee!!

IT have sorted out my probems so I can now see all of my formatting icons. To prove it here is a picture of my dog.

and my lunch today a really yummy salad!   



Very Frustrating!!

I was getting extremely frustrated with trying to do things with my blog and finally resorted to the Blogger Help section I have just realised that I can't see any of the any of the formatting icons. I did receive an error message when I created the blog saying that my browser is out of date and some functions would be affected. I guess I have discovered which functions it is that don't work!!!!

Has anyone else had this problem?

Success at last. I have finally managed to get the blog working at work - hooray!!
